Take Pride in your Strenghts

"ATTENTION LADIES!! Work from the comfort of your home. Earn anywhere between 25k-50k/ month. No Investments. No Marketing. No Selling. Hurry! Interested ladies kindly WhatsApp on......"
I did not bother to read the contact number as the Money number was far more lucrative. Just preventing my eyeballs from popping out, I rushed to Mr Wallet to show him this 'Screw My Future Add'. The pessimist he is, Mr Wallet redefines the add-
" No Investment. No Marketing. No Selling. NO BRAINS Required!!!!
Wow, Darling, this is just perfect for you! Your vestigial organ brain has not been asked for. As I say Jobs are made in Heaven, this is a heavenly opportunity for you. Isko laga dala toh life zingalala..... Go for it๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘"

You people always blame me for being an angry cat purring at him. Now can your eyeballs see how this matchstick( nothing to do with his humble body type) sets me on fire? I had gone for Encouragement๐Ÿ˜‡ and came back with Embrassment๐Ÿ˜ฒ. But one thing I must believe is that my brain is a vestigial organ or it turned so at the time of saying 'I Do' on the awful day called ' Wedding'. Nevertheless, I am that adamant piece of nut stuck in the tooth which refuses to go even after repeated brushing and flossing( in this case convincing and persuading).

I don the hat of ACP Pradyuman and start investigating my newly discovered gold mine. I have heard about women maintaining great work-life balance. The ones who travel in Mercedes. Who goes to aerobics? Eat fancy salads for lunch. Hold high-end business meetings. Travel business class in Emirates and on and on...

For they simply do not bear children with running noses and husbands with ever-hungry bellies. OKAY. Maybe they have, but at least they are not running around them with tissues and hot parathas. So I too imagine myself to be the next Nita Ambani with an IPL team, a school, a hospital and unlimited NGOs running at my expense. I'm shuffling from one end of the city to the other to grace inaugurations and light lamps. I am delivering the ' Badega India' and ' Garibi Hatao' speeches. When I am just about to be felicitated, Mr Wallet hits the newspaper on my head and asks for tea.
I am back to the reality of hungry bellies and running noses๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•

Money-making is a trap for me. The urges to earn a million dollar are captivating. Or that is how I have always envisioned it as. I make my captivity beautiful by hammering upon myself that it is my duty.

I have always envied Mr Wallet for the ease with which he mints money. Money making for that matter has been a huge weakness of mine. Every year I make several deliberate efforts in this forte. Only to fall like the nasty last drop of ketchup stuck in the bottle. Puchak!!! Sound of embarrassment, failure and hopelessness.
As the tea boils turning dark like my emotions, Mr Wallet realises my apathy.

" Money Matters but not to the extent that it engulfs your confidence, your happiness or for that matter your existence. You may not be good at minting the metal but you are good at maintaining it. Not only this, you maintain our lives sane so that they resonate in perfect rhythm. You motivate, talk and help our friends and family members to be better individuals. These are your strengths, my dear Strength!
Look for something meaningful. Remember The Hand that Rocks the Cradle Rules the World. Take pride in your strengths than trying to make your weakness your strength."๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

How liberating his words are! My husband's sarcasm infuses sense in me.

Maybe Her brain is vestigial, but Her heart isn't. It emphasises why She fell for Him and said "I Do" on that Auspicious Day called ' Wedding'. From pulling legs to pulling hair and sometimes even bones out of the sockets, they have managed to stay together to cover up for each other's weaknesses and boost their strength.

He says that She should flaunt her strengths. Instead of running from pillar to post to make Her weaknesses Her strength. He wants Her to be the flag on every pillar and post. This is possible only when She recognises Her strengths and works on strengthening them further. He wants Her to sharpen her claws and dig out more treasures of strength than crying over the spilt milk of weaknesses. After this, She too realises He is that pillar and post of support which keeps the flag soaring high.

And my dear reader whether you are a HE or SHE, I am sure that you have got IT- the real message of this blog๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰
